High PG Vape Juice
High PG vape juice is e-liquid with more propylene glycol (PG) than vegetable glycerin (VG). It is suitable for low-powered devices and delivers a strong throat hit and intense flavour. It produces less vapour than high VG e-liquid and more resembles the sensation of smoking in that respect.
About High PG Vape Juice
The formula of an e-liquid dramatically changes the vaper’s experience and PG e-liquid is considered the ‘standard’ for regular vape kits. PG stands for Propylene Glycol and it is one of the five core ingredients which make up any e-liquid (water, nicotine, flavourings and VG being the other main components). PG liquid is for regular vaping, not cloud chasing or sub-ohm vaping.
Despite the chemical name, PG is fully fit for human consumption and PG e-juice is usually blended with VG in every juice, to create a blend which balances the natural and chemical. PG is the thinner of the two components and carries flavour more effectively, due to it being an entirely odourless and flavourless ingredient.
Who is High PG Vape Juice for?
PG liquid delivers flavour more effectively than the thicker VG e-juices on the market and it also provides a higher and more intense throat hit. This makes it more similar to a traditional tobacco cigarette. PG e-liquid can result in the occasional dry hit which is something to be aware of.
PG e-juice is usually popular with recent ex-smokers, although many opt for a balanced 50/50 PG to VG formula too. PG e-liquid produces less vapour so it can be a good choice for stealth and discreet vaping.
There are PG liquid options in all kinds of flavours from traditional tobacco and menthol to more unique flavours and complex combinations. Our popular non-tobacco and menthol PG e-liquid flavours include Black Cherry by Vapouriz or Heisenberg by Vampire Vape.

Frequently Asked Questions about High PG E-Liquids
High PG means that the e-liquid has a high ratio of propylene glycol (PG) to vegetable glycerin (VG). PG and VG are the main ingredients in e-liquids, and they affect the flavour, vapour production, and throat hit of vaping.
High PG e-liquids have some advantages over high VG e-liquids, such as:
- They are thinner and less likely to clog your coils or tank.
- They deliver a stronger and more satisfying throat hit, similar to smoking.
- They have a clearer and more intense flavour, as PG does not have much taste of its own.
- They are compatible with most starter kits, pod systems, and low-power devices.
High PG e-liquids also have some disadvantages, such as:
- They produce less vapour and clouds than high VG e-liquids.
- They can cause allergic reactions or irritation for some people who are sensitive to PG.
- They can be harsher on the throat and mouth, especially at higher nicotine strengths.
